Trying to avoid stalling

Wintertime Blues

It’s still too cold to gut the basement, so I can start setting up the woodshop. This is frustrating because I am ready to get started with the project. As such, I’m trying to move forward by reviewing old home improvement magazines from an estate cleanout and figuring out which magazines to keep and which I only want an article or two from.

I have a full laundry basket of these magazines, so I’m going through them slowly. Some are traditional woodworking titles, such as Wood and Woodworker, which I will keep the entire run of as I get them. Lots are handyman titles, and I am being ruthless with disposing of the ones that don’t have any information I need. I’m also tearing articles out of the magazines to put in binders.

I need to start sorting through my voluminous hand tool collection and start paring it down some on the eBay store - but that is a project for when I’m in a little less of a mental wreck of a headspace.

The winter storm in Kentucky has been frustrating. I’m still waiting on my new chip carving knives so I can get back to work on a woodcarving project. But this too shall pass I’m sure.

Thank you for being on this journey with me! Take care of yourselves and each other. And remember, someone out there loves you.
